HRH Prince Moulay Rachid Chairs Luncheon Offered by HM the King on FAR Anniversary

Upon the orders of HM King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), HRH Prince Moulay Rachid chaired, on Monday at the officers' mess in Rabat, a luncheon offered by the Sovereign on the occasion of the 62nd anniversary of the Royal Armed Forces, the FAR's General Staff said in a statement.

At his arrival at the mess, HRH Prince Moulay Rachid was greeted by lieutenant-general, inspector general of the Royal Armed Forces and commander delegate for Rabat-Salé, and reviewed a detachment of the headquarters battalion that paid the honours.

His Royal Highness was then greeted by head of government Saad Eddine El Othmani, minister delegate for national defence administration Abdeltif Loudiyi, major general Mohamed Haramou, commander of the royal gendarmerie, air brigadier general El Abed Alaoui Bouhamid, inspector of the royal air forces and rear admiral Mostafa El Alami, inspector of the royal marine.

The event was also attended by head of government, speaker of the house of representatives, speaker of the house of advisors, HM the King's advisors, government members, president of supreme court, public prosecutor at the said court, president of the constitutional court, high-ranking officers from FAR general staff, foreign military attachés accredited in Rabat, director general of national police, directors of royal offices, wali of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region, as well as civil and military figures.

Ceremonies were held to celebrate FAR's 62nd  anniversary by different garrisons and units of the Royal Armed Forces. During these ceremonies, the Order of the Day addressed by HM King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of general Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, to officers, non-commissioned officers and privates was read out.
