HRH Prince Moulay Rachid Receives Director of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum
HRH Prince Moulay Rachid received, Wednesday in Rabat, director of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, Sara J. Bloomfied.
The audience took place in the presence of executive director of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, Robert Satloff, director of the Initiative on Holocaust Denial and anti-Semitism at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, Tad Stahnke, and HM the King's advisor, André Azoulay.
Sara J. Bloomfied, accompanied by a dozen US personalities, is on a working visit to Morocco (Oct. 22-29) to highlight the exemplary nature of the policy of openness, listening and promotion of the spiritual and cultural diversity of the Kingdom, implemented by HM King Mohammed VI.
On this occasion, Bloomfield announced that the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum has decided to pay tribute, posthumously, to late HM Mohammed V to underline his resistance to the racist policy of the Vichy government and the modernity of his humanist and solidarity commitment with the Jewish world, while confronting with Nazism.
A major event will be held in Washington to honor the humanist commitment of late HM Mohammed V to the Jewish community.
The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum is one of the most prestigious US federal organizations and one of the few civil society institutions whose governing bodies are appointed by the president of the USA.
