HRH Princess Lalla Salma Chairs in Mohammed VI Museum Ceremony in Homage to Memory of Artist Mohamed Amine Demnati

Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Salma chaired, on Tuesday at the Mohammed VI Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rabat, a ceremony to pay tribute to the memory of Artist Mohamed Amine Demnati.

During this ceremony, held under the high patronage of HM King Mohammed VI on the occasion of the 46th anniversary of the passing of Mohamed Amine Demnati and the publishing of the "Amine Demnati, twenty-nine springs, one summer" book, Her Royal Highness visited the exhibition featuring some of the deceased's works before heading to the auditorium.

The ceremony was marked by speeches by president of the National Foundation of Moroccan Museums Mehdi Qotbi, artist painter historian and art critic Maurice Arama, author of the "Amine Demnati, twenty-nine springs, one summer" book and brother of the deceased Hassan Amine Demnati who paid a heartfelt tribute to late Mohamed Amine Demnati whose works are reflecting his intelligence, sensibility, curiosity and love for life. The ceremony was also marked by the screening of a movie on the life of late Mohamed Amine Demnati.

On this occasion, Hassan Amine Demnati handed the "Amine Demnati, twenty-nine springs, one summer" book to Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Salma.

At her arrival at the Museum, Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Salma reviewed a detachment of the auxiliary forces that paid the honours.

Her Royal Highness was greeted mainly by culture and communication minister Mohamed El Aaraj, wali of the Rabat-Sale- Kénitra, governor of Rabat prefecture Mohamed Mhidia and president of the regional council Abdessamad Sekkal.
