HM The King Appoints Professor Omar Azziman President-Delegate Of Higher Council For Education
HM King Mohammed VI received, Tuesday at the Royal Palace in Rabat, Professor Omar Azziman that the Sovereign appointed Delegate- President the Higher Council for Education, said a statement of the King’s office.
The appointment of Professor Azziman to this post, the statement said, falls within the implementation of the royal decision contained in the speech addressed by the Sovereign to the Nation on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Glorious Revolution of the King and the People, which provides for setting motion the Higher Council for Education with its current composition, pending the adoption of the legal texts relating to the new Higher Council for Education, Training and Scientific Research in accordance with the transitional provisions stated in the Constitution.
During the meeting, HM the King called on Professor Azziman to address this critical project, including assessing the decade-long National Charter for Education and Training, and reaching conclusions about the various issues related to this area, while including the various stakeholders.
HM the King also commended the scientific and academic qualities of Professor Omar Azziman and his great experience, competence, selflessness and sacrifice while performing the various senior positions he was given whether within the government, in the field of human rights, as a diplomat, or as an advisor to HM the King, in addition to his high human qualities, his ability to listen, and openness, the statement added.
