HM the King Chairs Working Session to Present, Examine Action Plan for Implementation of Agreements Signed with PSA Peugeot-Citroën

 HM King Mohammed VI chaired, on Wednesday in the Royal Palace in Rabat, a working session devoted to the presentation and the examination of the action plan for the implementation of the agreements signed with PSA Peugeot-Citroën, the King's Office said.

   HM the King has given His instructions to the various departments to guarantee optimal coordination of their actions within the framework of this project, the King's office said in a statement.

 

   The Gharb-Chrarda-Beni Hssen region, equipped with important infrastructures that serve its attractiveness, HM the King stressed the need to consolidate and strengthen these infrastructures, particularly through building the Kenitra-Atlantic deep-water port, which will be connected to roads, railways and airports.

 

   HM the King reiterated the need for a proactive ecological approach to put this project harmoniously within its environment, the same source added.

 

   The statement notes that this working session reflects the royal will to make this project an important platform for wealth creation, a pool of employment and a structuring hub for the region, with a ripple economic effect on the entire Kingdom.

 

   This meeting was attended by Government Chief, Abdellilah Benkirane, HM the King's advisor, Fouad Ali El Himma, and the signatories to the Agreement on the establishment of the industrial complex of PSA Peugeot-Citroën in Morocco, namely Mohamed Hassad, Minister of the Interior, Mohamed Boussaid, Minister of Economy and Finance, Rebbah Aziz, Minister of Equipment, Transport and Logistics, Moulay Hafid Elalamy, Minister of Industry, Trade, Investment and Digital Economy, Abdelkader Amara, Minister of Energy, Mines, Water and Environment, Ali Fassi Fihri, Director General of the National Office of Electricity and drinking water (ONEE), Mohamed Rabie Lakhlie, Director General of the National Railways Office (ONCF), Amina Benkhadra, Director of the National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mining (ONHYM), Fouad Brini, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Tangier-Med Special Agency, and Abdellatif Zaghnoun, CEO of the Caisse de Depot et de Gestion (CDG).
