HM the King, Commander of the Faithful, Inaugurates in Casablanca Palestine Mosque, Performs Friday Prayer

HM King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, inaugurated on Friday in Casablanca the Palestine mosque, before performing the Friday prayer at this mosque.

The inauguration of this mosque reflects the attention granted by the Sovereign to religious affairs and his permanent will to endow the Kingdom with functional and aesthetic mosques.

The 14-million dirham project, which was carried out by the ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs on a surface area of 2,056 m2, has a capacity of over 1,630 worshipers.

The inauguration of the Palestine Mosque is part of the national program for the renovation of mosques at risk of collapse, launched by the Sovereign on May 14, 2010 in Oujda.

It houses two prayer rooms, a library, accommodation for the Imam and the Muezzin and shops.
