HM the King Congratulates Algerian President on his Country’s Independence Day

HM King Mohammed VI sent a message of congratulations to Algerian president, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, on his country’s Independence Day.

In this message, the Sovereign expresses his warm congratulations and sincere wishes of good health to the Algerian president and of further progress and prosperity to the brotherly Algerian people under the wise leadership of Mr Bouteflika.

The Sovereign said that this glorious feast is an opportunity to recall, with pride, the sincere fraternal solidarity demonstrated by the brotherly Moroccan and Algerian peoples throughout their heroic struggle for liberation and independence.

HM the King reaffirmed his determination to work, together with President Bouteflika, to strengthen fraternal relations between the two neighboring countries and to consolidate fruitful cooperation so as to achieve the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples for a bright and a promising future in order to contribute to the building of an efficient Maghreb Union that can address the various security and development challenges facing the region.
