HM the King Inaugurates ‘Prince Moulay Abdallah’ Hospital in Salé

HM King Mohammed VI inaugurated on Wednesday in the Hssain district in Salé ‘Prince Moulay Abdallah’ prefectural hospital, which was built for a total budget of 312 million dirhams.

This 250-bed hospital, which will have a strong social impact, reflects the importance given by the Sovereign to the health sector, particularly through the development of hospital infrastructures and the strengthening of basic health services.

The project also shows HM the King's conviction that the right of access to health care services is one of the major pillars to consolidate citizenship and achieve a comprehensive, integrated and sustainable human development.

This new hospital, which will serve a population of more than one million inhabitants, will ensure greater complementarity with the other similar structures in the region of Rabat-Salé-Kenitra and will relieve congestion at the Ibn Sina University Hospital Center in Rabat.

Having a regional vocation, this hospital reflects HM the King’s willingness to enable all citizens to have access to quality health care services.

This health facility, which extends over 3.7 hectares, houses high-tech equipment and includes a medical-technical department, an emergency department, a blood bank, a day-hospital, wards for gynecology-obstetrics, paediatrics, departments of surgery, orthopedics, neurology, ophthalmology, nephrology and hemodialysis, in addition to administrative and technical offices.

Built by the Ministry of Health, this new hospital structure will be served by line 2 of the Rabat-Salé Tramway, whose extension project is currently underway.

On this occasion, HM the King posed for a souvenir photo with the medical, paramedical, technical and administrative staff of the "Prince Moulay Abdallah" prefecture hospital of Salé.
