HM the King Inaugurates in Rabat Training Center in Social, Educational Functions

HM King Mohammed VI inaugurated, on Saturday at the El Kheir neighborhood (Yaacoub Al Mansour) in Rabat, a training center in social and educational functions, a solidarity project meant to promote the socio-professional integration of youth and early childhood education.

The project, the first of its kind in Morocco and which is led by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, mirrors the Sovereign's special interest in the education sector, a strategic tool for the progress of society, and in the youth, the nation's wealth and driving force of its global and integrated development.

The project, with a high social added value, stems from the Foundation's choice to make training and socio-professional integration of young people as the centerpiece of its action, as well as from its desire to develop skills in the sector of education in order to back Morocco's reforms in this field, notably the generalization of pre-school education.

Worth around 12 million dirhams, the center will offer the beneficiaries practical training in social professions. It will also participate in the education and pre-schooling of nearly 175 children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Built on a plot of 3,400 m2, the center includes two large nurseries, classrooms, a library, outdoor playgrounds and training rooms.

The project, whose construction works were launched on May 30, 2017, is part of a partnership between the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity and the Rabat Prefectural Council.
