HM the King Inaugurates Radiology and Medical Analysis Center of National Police in Rabat

HM King Mohammed VI inaugurated, Wednesday at the Ryad neighborhood in Rabat, a radiology and medical analysis Center of the National Police, a new illustration of the constant benevolence shown by the Sovereign to the members of this authentic institution.

This project is in line with the ongoing efforts of HM the King to create a homogeneous social climate that ensures that national police officials enjoy the conditions for a dignified life, health coverage and material and moral achievements allowing them to fulfill their national duty and to ensure the safety and tranquility of citizens.

Its achievement is part of the implementation of the high royal guidelines advocating the promotion and modernization of the medico-social services offered to the family of the national police, in view of the sense of duty and sacrifice shown by the men and women of this institution throughout the history of the Kingdom.

This new radiology and medical analysis Center is also part of the expansion of the offer of care for active and retired national police officials and their families.

Contributing to the promotion and social protection of the members of the great family of the national police, the radiology and medical analysis Center, built on a 1,000 m2 site, includes a radiology center, a medical analysis laboratory and a day hospital, all equipped with the latest generation materials and equipment.

The Radiology center houses standard and panoramic dental radiology, ultrasound imaging, digital mammography (early detection), bone densitometry, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and a 32-bar scanner (64 sections).

The medical analysis laboratory includes sampling, microbiology (bacteriological, mycological, parasitological and virological examinations), immuno-hematology and immunology (blood grouping and phenotyping, allergy tests, autoimmunity tests) as well as hematology (hematogram, myelogram, hemostasis test) units.

This laboratory also comprises a biochemistry unit for routine examinations (ionogram, liver test, glyco-lipid test, kidney test, martial test, blood gas) and specialized examinations (hormone test, fertility test, tumor markers, heart markers, vitamin test, infectious serology, serum protein electrophoresis).

Regarding the day hospital, it has eight individual rooms for general and specialized medical consultations, as well as outpatient treatment of the most frequent medical conditions.

In order to fully accomplish its mission, the radiology and medical analysis Center has among its medical and paramedical staff four physicians from different specialties, eight laboratory technicians, four radiology technicians, four sampling anaesthetists, four polyvalent nurses, four administrative managers and ten support workers.

Upon his arrival at the radiology and medical analysis Center, HM King Mohammed VI reviewed a detachment of the Royal Guard that made the honors and was greeted by the governor attached to the wilaya, the president of the Agdal-Ryad neighborhood Council, the president of the prefectural Council, representatives of the local authority, executives of the National Police (DGSN) and the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance, as well as the Chief medical officer of the Center.
