HM the King Lays Foundation Stone of Diagnosis & Treatment of Chronic Diseases Center in Mohammedia

  HM King Mohammed VI laid, Monday in El Alia neighborhood in Mohammedia, the foundation stone of a diagnosis & treatment of chronic diseases center, a solidarity project to strengthen the medical supply in the city.

 

   Buoyed by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, the 5-million-dirham project reflects the royal desire to strengthen the medical offer by the establishment of a comprehensive medical service that harmoniously meets the needs of citizens, especially those with chronic diseases.

 

   It falls in line with the Sovereign's efforts to promote access of the poor to health care and fight the disruption and irregularity of the periodic medical monitoring, which could aggravate their pathologies.

 

   The future center will host and provide medical care, training and information to people in the region suffering from chronic diseases, early detection of degenerative complications of diabetes, as well as coaching and training for regional stakeholders in this field.

 

   Thanks to an integrated approach combining medical care, nutrition education and development of associative action, the diagnosis and treatment center for chronic disease will have a positive impact on the quality of life of its beneficiaries.

 

   Built on a plot of 1,400 sq. m, the center will be equipped with an analysis laboratory and consultation rooms in general medicine, endocrinology, cardiology, ophthalmology and nephrology. It will also include an ultrasound room, a nutrition education workshop, training and meeting rooms, a dietician office, a pharmacy, a library and an office for associations.

 

   The diagnosis and treatment of chronic diseases center, whose construction works will span over 12 months, will be managed by the Ministry of Health in partnership with a specialized medical association.
