The project, which provides notably for building esplanades at Tamariss I, Jack Beach, Dar Kouche and Oued Merzeg beaches, reflects the ongoing commitment of the Sovereign to supervise the process of upgrading the new urban areas of Greater Casablanca, by equipping them with modern infrastructure and facilities to meet the expectations of local populations.

Besides enhancing the attractiveness of Casablanca, the four esplanades (22.7 million dirhams) offer to residents of adjoining neighborhoods spaces of relaxation, recreation and sports activities.

Developing these esplanades is part of an overall development of the coastal road of Dar Bouazza (115 million dirhams), which provides for roadwork, building sewer systems and street lighting, planting trees and installing road signs.

This major project is a component of the priority program of upgrading the Greater Casablanca region (2014-2015) which focuses on six main areas, namely the development of roads and recreation spaces, improving road safety and renewing the bus fleet, strengthening drinking water, electricity, sanitation and street lighting networks, restructuring under-equipped neighborhoods and improving the cleanliness of the city.

The priority program of upgrading the Greater Casablanca region (2014-2015), which is at a very advanced level, comes to strengethen the development plan of the Greater Casablanca (2015-2020), launched last September by HM the King and aims to strengthen the economic position of the region to make it a truly international financial hub, to improve the quality of life of its residents, and to preserve its environment and identity.
