HM King Mohammed VI Launches Restructuring Program Of Neighborhoods, Roads In Northern Morocco

HM King Mohammed VI launched, Tuesday in the northern city of M'Diq, the restructuring program of neighborhoods and roads in the cities of Tetouan, M'diq, Fnideq and Martil.

The 700-million-dirham program provides for generalizing roads in the cities of Tetouan, M'diq, Fnideq and Martil and connecting these cities to drinking water and sewage systems.

Environment protection, sustainable socio-economic development, improving domestic hygiene, promoting road safety and enhancing the attractiveness of the cities of Tetouan, M'diq, Fnideq and Martil are the main purposes of the program launched by HM the King.

The first component of the program (627.5 million dirhams) consists in building a bypass around the city of M'Diq, carrying out several development works, modernizing public lighting network and planting trees.

The second component (72.5 million dirhams) touches on generalizing the connection of the cities of Tetouan, M'diq, Fnideq and Martil to drinking water and sewerage systems.

These projects are in line with the objectives of the integrated program of economic and urban development of Tetouan and its region (2014-2018), launched by HM the King in April.
