HM The King Offers Condolences And Sympathy To Palestinian President Following Israeli Offensive On Gaza

HM King Mohammed VI sent a message of condolences and sympathy to the President of the state of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, following the Israeli assault which left hundreds of martyrs among Palestinian helpless civilians.

The Sovereign expresses "sincere condolences" and "heartfelt sympathy" to President Abbas following the death of ''hundreds of Palestinian innocent victims who became martyrs during the Israeli assault against Gaza".

HM the King, in his capacity as chairman of Al Quds Committee, also expressed deep dismay and strong condemnation of this Israeli methodically-barbarous aggression; an assault that becomes everyday more despicable by openly breaching the international humanitarian law, the UN legality and international charters.

The Sovereign also renews the permanent and strong stand of the Kingdom of Morocco, its king and people, as well its "total solidarity" with the Palestinian brother people in this difficult context resulting from Israel's stubbornness and blockade imposed on the Gaza strip, killing on a daily basis innocent civilians, stressing Morocco's unconditional political backing and emergency assistance to alleviate the ordeal of the Palestinian people and stand up by the resistance.

The Sovereign also praises the Palestinian president's continuous efforts to stop the Israeli aggression, cease the bloodshed of Palestinians and guarantee their legitimate rights to build a sustainable and fully-sovereign state with Al Quds Asharif as a capital.

The dangerous situation in the Palestinian territories requires earnest efforts from the international powers to immediately stop the vile aggression against the Palestinian people and force Israel to opt for peace instead of violence and crime and adopt a constructive and creative approach, the Royal message insists.

Such an approach needs the adherence of all international parties and moving forward to fulfilling true Palestinian national unity far from any tight considerations, the Royal message concludes.
