HM the King Pardons 724 People on Eid Al Mawlid Annabaoui
On the occasion of Eid Al Mawlid Annabaoui, HM King Mohammed VI granted his pardon to 724 people who were convicted by the different courts across the Kingdom, said on Thursday a statement by the Justice ministry.
The detained beneficiaries of the pardon are 517:
06 inmates benefited from pardon over their remaining prison terms.
507 convicts had their prison terms reduced.
04 inmates had their prison sentences commuted from life imprisonment to fixed prison terms.
The free beneficiaries of the pardon are 207:
60 people benefited from pardon over their imprisonment terms or remaining prison terms.
03 people had their prison sentences dropped and fines maintained.
03 persons benefited from pardon over their prison terms and fines.
141 people had their fines annulled.
Royal pardon is customary in Morocco to mark national and religious holidays.
