APF Bureau Examines In Rabat Means To Foster Assembly's Role As Actor Of Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation

The meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Francophonie's bureau (APF) opened, Wednesday in Rabat, with the aim of strengthening the APF's role as an actor in international relations and inter-parliamentary cooperation.

This meeting is an opportunity to maintain regular contact between APF member states and promote friendly relations between Morocco and these countries, said on this occasion speaker of the House of representatives Karim Ghellab, calling for exerting more efforts to reinvigorate the action by the Assembly across the world, especially in Africa.

This meeting is thus a real opportunity to share views and experiences and frankly debate issues of common interest through a responsible dialogue to resolve the problems caused by international mutations in French speaking countries and meet the aspirations and expectations of the peoples of the region, he added.

Highlighting the very strong friendship relations between Morocco and APF member states, including countries in Africa, Ghellab recalled that the kingdom has spared no effort, despite difficult circumstances, to promote south-South cooperation.
