
The Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, reaffirmed on Wednesday in Leipzig his country's desire to strengthen ties with the Kingdom of Morocco, both in maritime and air connectivity.
At the end of a bilateral meeting with Morocco’s Minister of Transport and Logistics, Abdessamad Kayouh, held on the sidelines of the 18th International Transport Forum (ITF) Summit, the Bahraini minister stressed the importance of strengthening the strategic partnership between the two Kingdoms.
On this occasion, the two officials discussed ways of strengthening bilateral cooperation in several fields, mainly developing air routes between the two countries, exchanging expertise in logistics and port management, as well as in business services.
He also stressed the key role of the transport sector in ensuring the fluidity of trade and the resilience of supply chains in the face of current global challenges.
The meeting took place in the presence of the delegations accompanying the two ministers, as part of the 18th ITF Summit, which opened on Wednesday in Leipzig, Germany, on the theme of “Transport resilience to global shocks.”
