The Moroccan national team of local players won its third African Nations Championship (CHAN-2024) title, defeating its Madagascan counterpart 3-2 in Saturday's final at the Moi International Stadium in Kasarani, Nairobi.
The Atlas Lions, who had already won in 2018 and 2020, secured victory thanks to goals from Youssef Mehri (27th minute) and Oussama Lamlaoui (44th and 80th minutes), who scored twice, but above all thanks to an unforgettable winning goal scored from midfield.
Madagascar's goals were scored by Félicité Mantasoa (9th minute) and Toky Rakotondraibe (68th minute).
Third place in this edition went to Senegal, who beat Sudan 4-2 on penalties (regular time: 1-1) in the classification match on Friday in Kampala.
