Clausuradas en Al-Qods las actividades preparatorias de la 16ª edición de los campamentos de verano para los niños de la ciudad santa

The preparatory activities for the 16th edition of the summer camps for the children of Al-Quds, known as "Harat Al Maghariba," an event held annually in Morocco under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, concluded on Saturday in the Holy City. The closing took place in the presence of officials from the Directorate of Education and Teaching, as well as families of the participants.

This edition, initiated by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency with the support and in partnership with the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, will take place from August 10 to 26. It combines relaxation and entertainment, educational and pedagogical trips, as well as meetings and exchanges between Palestinian and Moroccan children.

As in previous editions, 50 children aged 11 to 14 were selected from 450 applicants by a committee composed of representatives from the Directorate of Education in Al-Quds, social workers, and five specialized supervisors who will accompany them throughout their stay in Morocco.

The official program will begin on Tuesday, August 12, with the launch of the "Summer School," organized by the Agency for the benefit of Moroccan and Palestinian children under the theme: "Let’s Make Electronic Games a Tool for Education, Learning, and Entertainment." Experts will lead interactive workshops and practical applications focusing on education for protection, artificial intelligence, and responsible entertainment through video games.

This edition's program also includes artistic and sports competitions between children of Al-Quds and their Moroccan peers, as well as tourist visits to Casablanca, Rabat, Tangier, Tetouan, M’diq, and Chefchaouen to explore historical landmarks and learn about major economic projects undertaken in the Kingdom, particularly in terms of infrastructure and large-scale sports facilities.

As in every year, the children of Al-Quds are eager to share in the joy of Morocco's national celebrations that coincide with their stay. They will present artistic performances, including the Moroccan national anthem and excerpts from the song "Nidae El Hassan," accompanied by choreographies inspired by Palestinian heritage and traditional "Dabkeh" dances.
