El Salvador Officially Informs UNSG of withdrawal of its Recognition of Pseudo 'sadr'

The government of El Salvador officially informed, on Wednesday, the UN Secretary-General of its decision to withdraw its recognition of the pseudo "sadr".

Through an official note, the Permanent Mission of El Salvador to the United Nations informed the UN Secretary-General that "on 15 June 2019, the President of the Republic of El Salvador, Nayib Armando Bukele, announced the withdrawal of his recognition of the +sadr+".

The Permanent Mission of El Salvador also addressed to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, through its note verbale, the statement of the ministry of Foreign Affairs of El Salvador stating that "The Government of El Salvador has informed the Government of Morocco of its decision to withdraw its recognition of the +sadr+ and to terminate all contact with this entity".

In addition, the statement underlines that "the Government of El Salvador supports Morocco's territorial integrity and national sovereignty, as well as its autonomy Initiative as the sole solution to this regional dispute".
