Morocco is a strategic, sincere, and reliable partner that continues to provide invaluable support to The Gambia, the country’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Gambians Abroad, Sering Modou Njie, said on Wednesday in Rabat.
Speaking during a press briefing following his meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, the head of Gambian diplomacy expressed, in the name of the President, government and people of the Republic of The Gambia, his deep gratitude for Morocco for its contribution to The Gambia’s socio-economic development.
He also expressed his appreciation for the Kingdom's support in hosting the 15th edition of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Summit in The Gambia, contributing to the success of the event.
The minister also expressed The Gambia's commitment to the Royal Atlantic Initiative, which aims to promote cooperation and co-development in the Atlantic and Sahel regions.
