El Gobierno seguirá adelante con la ejecución de los grandes proyectos sociales, tal y como desea SM el Rey

Morocco's Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch affirmed that in the final year of its mandate, the government will remain focused on implementing key social projects as envisioned by His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

Speaking during a special broadcast aired Wednesday evening on Al Oula and 2M channels, Akhannouch emphasized that these royal programs and projects encompass the healthcare, education, and social protection sectors, alongside vital sectors such as water and agriculture.

In this regard, he highlighted that the priorities of the 2026 Finance Bill are focused on social projects, including mandatory health insurance and housing assistance, as well as investment in road infrastructure. He also noted that the project for territorial justice, highlighted by HM the King in the Throne Speech, will be at the heart of the government’s priorities in the next phase.

Concerning pension system reform, the Head of Government observed that the complex issue expected to arise in this area in 2028 has been postponed to 2031 due to wage increases, stressing the need for innovative solutions through serious dialogue and consensus with trade unions.

Regarding the upcoming elections, Akhannouch stated that assigning the Minister of the Interior with the task of preparing for these elections is "positive," noting that political parties, including the National Rally of Independents (RNI), have already started submitting their memorandums on the matter to the Minister.
