Her Highness Princess Lalla Zineb, President of the Moroccan League for the Protection of Children (LMPE), chaired, on Tuesday in Rabat, the League's General Assembly, during which the moral and financial reports for 2024, the 2025-2026 action program and the auditor's report were presented.
During this Assembly, Her Highness highlighted the projects carried out in 2024 for children without parental care, as part of the LMPE's strategic program, the League said in a press release.
On this occasion, Her Highness praised the unwavering commitment and constant mobilization of all League members and stakeholders who contribute to the implementation of programs and action plans, to strengthen protection mechanisms and improve care conditions for the beneficiaries.
Her Highness Princess Lalla Zineb also warmly thanked all the League’s partners and donors, highlighting the importance of the partnership and cooperation agreements and conventions which enable the development and expansion of reception facilities for the target population in different regions of the Kingdom.
At the end of general discussions, the members of the Assembly unanimously approved moral and financial reports, as well as the accounts for the year ending December 31, 2024 and the related resolutions.
At the conclusion of the Ordinary General Assembly, resolutions were adopted and approved relating to the League's provisional budget for the 2025-2026 financial year; the 2025-2026 action program; the agreements signed with the various partners; the action program for the implementation of a unified information system adapted to the needs of existing structures; the mechanisms and tools for good governance, aimed at standardizing administrative, financial, and accounting procedures; and the action program for the expansion of summer camps and vacation camps for children from League institutions.
Her Highness then chaired the Extraordinary General Assembly, devoted to examining the agenda items, concerning the amendment of certain articles of the general status and the rules of procedure of the League’s reception facilities.
The amendments mainly concerned the determination of the target population cared for at the League's reception centers (orphans, children deprived of their families, and children with disabilities), in accordance with the provisions of Law 15-01 on abandoned children, as well as the nature of the additional financial resources contributing to the League's budget.
Following unanimous approval of the aforementioned resolutions, the Assembly meeting concluded with the reading of the Royal Message of loyalty and allegiance addressed by the participants to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him.
The year 2024 was marked by the inauguration of three new centers in Tangier, Ouarzazate, and Guelmim, and by the ongoing construction and redevelopment of centers in El Jadida, Casablanca, Nador, Agadir, Tit Mellil, Taroudant, Aït Melloul, M'diq, Ben Yakhlaf, and Benslimane, in accordance with the Clearsighted Vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, aimed at strengthening structures for the protection of vulnerable children and the preservation of their fundamental rights.
