House of Advisors Adopts First Part of 2019 Finance Bill

The House of Advisors (upper House) adopted, Wednesday in a plenary session, by a majority vote the first part of the 2019 Finance Bill.

During this session, 45 MPs voted for the first part of the Bill and 24 rejected it, while four MPs abstained.

Minister of Economy and Finance, Mohamed Benchaaboun, said on Monday, in response to the various comments by parliamentary groups in the upper House, that the government interacted positively and objectively with the

amendments made to the Bill by the groups of both the majority and the opposition.
