La ayuda humanitaria a Gaza, un gesto “noble” que ilustra “el ingenio y la credibilidad de Marruecos” (exministro caboverdiano de Exteriores)

The additional humanitarian aid dispatched, on the High Instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, to the inhabitants of Gaza, is a “noble” gesture which illustrates “Morocco’s ingenuity and credibility,” emphasized former Cape Verdean Minister of Foreign Affairs and Defense, Luís Filipe Tavares.

Speaking to MAP, Tavares said that Morocco, under His Majesty the King’s impetus, embodies the universal values of solidarity and humanism, capable of guiding international relations and facing humanitarian emergencies.

He underlined that transporting Moroccan aid by plane before delivering it directly to beneficiaries among Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, in the midst of a blockade, demonstrates the “ingenuity and effectiveness” of the approach initiated by the Sovereign.

Highlighting the concrete and life-saving nature of this operation, at a time when international reports paint an alarming picture of the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, the former head of Cape Verdean diplomacy stressed that Morocco is establishing itself as “an essential and responsible actor for peace, enjoying a unique credibility that enables it to achieve what others struggle to accomplish.”

“This Royal Gesture reaffirms the Kingdom's constant and legitimate commitment to the Palestinian cause,” he said, expressing the hope that this royal initiative “will inspire other nations to act with the same determination and effectiveness to alleviate the suffering of peoples.”
