Jihad Cell Active In Several Moroccan Cities Dismantled

A Jihadist cell active in several Moroccan cities was dismantled by the Moroccan security services, the interior ministry announced.

The cell leader had acquired combat experiences within terrorist organizations associated with Al Qaeda in Afghanistan.

The former Spanish servicemen moved to live in Nador (northeastern Morocco) after he resigned from the Spanish army. He then started recruiting volunteers for Jihad for his terror cell, says the source.

In addition to enrollment activities, the cell was plotting to conduct criminal acts in order to carry out armed operations.

The alleged terrorist cell members will be brought before justice when the investigation, led by the public prosecutor, will be completed.
