Una delegación de médicos marroquíes participa en el Maratón de Sídney 2025

A Moroccan delegation of doctors and young talents participated at the 2025 Sydney Marathon (TCS Sydney Marathon), one of the most prestigious sporting events in the world, which this year brought together over 35,000 participants from 156 countries.

The Moroccan delegation was composed of Commander Aresmouk Aziz, Belhoucine Abdelfettah (radiologist), Oudghiri Mustapha (geriatrician), Mjahed Khalid (anesthetist-resuscitator), and Haddad Fouad (gastroenterologist).

It also included Dkhissy Mohcine (ophthalmologist), Fnini Salah (traumatologist), Laraqi Zine Elabidine (ENT), Haddad Mohamed, a third-year medical student, and Dkhissy Zineb, a biomedical engineer.

Moroccans living in Australia went onsite to encourage and support the delegation throughout its participation in a mood of solidarity and national pride, demonstrating the vitality and cohesion of the Moroccan diaspora.

The Kingdom's ambassador to Australia, Wassane Zailachi, hosted a reception in honor of the delegation in Sydney, which was attended by Australian MPs, media representatives, and prominent members of the Moroccan community, the embassy said in a press release.

The 2025 edition of TCS Sydney Marathon is particularly significant for joining the very select circle of “Abbott World Marathon Majors” for the first time, alongside Boston, London, Tokyo, New York, Berlin, and Chicago.

The course took participants through Sydney's iconic landmarks, from the Harbour Bridge to the Opera House, via The Rocks, the city center, and Centennial Park, cheered on by large crowds and covered by international media.
