El pueblo marroquí celebra el miércoles el aniversario de SAR la Princesa Lalla Hasnaa

The Royal Family and the Moroccan people are celebrating on Wednesday the birthday of Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Hasnaa, who brought climate action and the dissemination of environmental culture to the forefront, both in Morocco and at the international level.

This joyful event, celebrated on November 19 every year, is the ideal opportunity to highlight the multiple and noble activities of HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa, President of the Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection, who continues to stand out through her personal commitment in the fields of charity and diplomacy, as well as culture and climate.

On October 9, Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Hasnaa, President of the Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection, took part, as a guest of honor in the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre,in the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) World Conservation Congress. The opening ceremony was marked by the speech delivered by HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa, in which Her Royal Highness indicated that under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, who raised the protection of the environment and the preservation of natural ecosystems to national priorities, the Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection embodies this Royal Vision through concrete and quantifiable actions.

Following the opening ceremony, Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Hasnaa held talks with Dr. Sylvia Earle, American Oceanographer and Marine Biologist, President of the NGO "Mission Blue" and Ambassador to the IUCN, before visiting the pavilions of the United Arab Emirates, the International Union for Conservation of Nature, and Africa.

On the same day, Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Hasnaa, attended in Abu Dhabi a reception held in honor of the senior personalities taking part in the World Conservation Congress organized by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).

On June 8, Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Hasnaa, representing His Majesty King Mohammed VI at the 3rd United Nations Ocean Conference, attended a dinner in Nice, hosted by the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, and Brigitte Macron, in honor of the participating heads of State and government.

The following day, HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa took part in the 3rd United Nations Ocean Conference in Nice, before co-chairing the “Africa for the Ocean” summit with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Kings of Sardinia Palace.

HRH then attended the "Summit for a Connected Mediterranean" held in the presence of heads of State and government from Europe, the Mediterranean basin, and the Gulf countries, as well as representatives of international and regional organizations. 

On May 16, Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Hasnaa chaired, at the Bab Al Makina square, the opening ceremony of the 28th Fez Festival of World Sacred Music, held in Fez from May 16 to 24, under the High Patronage of HM King Mohammed VI under the theme: "Renaissances."

The day before, Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Hasnaa, President of the Royal Theater of Rabat Foundation, accompanied by Brigitte Macron, chaired, at the Royal Theater in Rabat, the Foundation’s first Board of Directors.

On May 4, Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Hasnaa, President of the Foundation for the Safeguarding of the Cultural Heritage of Rabat, paid, in Baku, a visit to the International Carpet Festival in Azerbaijan, which celebrates the wealthy cultural heritage of this West Asian country and honors master craftsmen and their ancestral skills.

The following day, HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa, paid a visit to Baku’s Alley of Honor on Monday, where HRH honored the memory of the national leader Heydar Aliyev, laying a wreath at his tomb. HRH then met at the headquarters of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in Baku with Mehriban Aliyeva, First Lady of the Republic of Azerbaijan and President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

On May 6, Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Hasnaa, accompanied by Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, and Arzu Aliyeva, Head of Baku Media Center, inaugurated the digital exhibition "The Art of Rabat Carpet" at the Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum, celebrating one of the Kingdom of Morocco's most emblematic ancestral skills. 

On the same day, HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa visited the International Mugham Center in Baku, an emblematic institution dedicated to the preservation, transfer, and upholding of this ancestral musical art, recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

The following day, Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Hasnaa, paid a visit to the secondary school "Educational Complex 132–134" in Baku, as part of the educational twinning project between schools in Rabat and the Azerbaijani capital. After that, HRH hosted a tea ceremony in Baku to honor Azerbaijani women from the world of culture and the arts.

On January 24, HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa chaired, in Rabat, the annual diplomatic charity gala dinner, organized by the embassy of the Republic of France and the Diplomatic Foundation.

As part of the Qatar-Morocco Year of Culture 2024, Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Hasnaa and H.E. Sheikha Al Mayassa Bint Hamad Al-Thani, chaired, on December 4, at "Dar Al Maghreb" in Doha, the "Caftan Fashion Show", an outstanding fashion show that celebrates the excellence and creativity of traditional Moroccan haute couture.

On the same day, HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa and H.E. Sheikha Al Mayassa Bint Hamad Al-Thani, chaired, at the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha, a dinner held in honor of the guests attending the "Caftan Fashion Show".

On January 17, Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Hasnaa and H.E. Sheikha Sara Bint Hamad Al-Thani, chaired, at the Al Shaqab Equestrian Center in Doha, the "Tbourida Show", a prestigious show that brings to a close a year of events celebrating the exceptional brotherly relations between Morocco and Qatar.

HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa's richly diversified actions and activities reflect deep and unparalleled determination and commitment, continuously inspiring and bringing pride to an entire population.
