Morocco dismantles terrorist cell of three members

The Central Bureau of Judicial Investigation (BCIJ) has dismantled Thursday a terrorist cell of three members (2 men and 1 woman) that supported the terrorist organization of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS), the Interior Ministry said.

The cell, which was operating in Fez, Casablanca and Oulad Teima (region of Agadir), was fully committed to implement ISIS’s subversive agenda and was determined to carry out dangerous terrorist operations, according to investigations.

The arrested individuals will be brought to justice by the end of the investigations made under the supervision of the competent prosecutor.

The Ministry said the dismantling of this cell is part of Morocco’s proactive efforts to confront terrorist threats.
