
Morocco's Minister Delegate for Digital Transition and Administrative Reform Amal El Fallah held talks on Tuesday via videoconference with Egyptian Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat, focusing in particular on ways to strengthen cooperation between Morocco and Egypt in the field of artificial intelligence (AI).
On this occasion, the Egyptian minister praised the remarkable progress achieved by the Kingdom in the AI field, deeming it a model to follow at the regional level to serve both countries' objectives in terms of strengthening transparency, improving the quality of public services, and promoting digital economy, according to a press release from the Ministry Delegate in charge of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform.
For her part, El Fallah highlighted the momentum of the digital transition project in Morocco, in accordance with the High Royal Guidelines, affirming the Kingdom's willingness to share its expertise and experience with the Arab Republic of Egypt and to explore innovative cooperation prospects adapted to global technological transformations.
These talks also provided an opportunity to discuss Egypt's initiative to establish an Arab Ministerial Council for Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technologies, which is on the agenda of the regular session of the Arab League's Economic and Social Council - Economic Committee, scheduled for September 1.
In this context, the Egyptian minister invited El Fallah to participate in the first edition of the “Everything AI World” Summit and Exhibition for the Middle East and Africa, to be held in Egypt on February 10-12, 2026.
The two ministers reiterated their commitment to pursuing close coordination in order to attain fruitful results and keep pace with global technological transformations, to the benefit of sustainable development and interests of the two brotherly countries' peoples, the press release concludes.
