Morocco Takes Part in AU Permanent Representatives' Committee in Addis Ababa

The Permanent Representatives' Committee (PRC) of the African Union (AU) started its 38th ordinary session on Monday in Addis Ababa, with the participation of Morocco.

Permanent Representative of Morocco to the African Union and ECA, ambassador Mohammed Arrouchi, chairs the Moroccan delegation at this session, which will discuss several issues related to the new structure of the AU Commission, its various ramifications and their financial implications, as well as the situation of partnerships.

This session will also consider the report on the general supervision and coordination of administrative, budgetary and financial matters, audit issues, as well as proposals relating to the themes of the years 2020 and 2021.

In addition, the PRC will prepare the agenda for the first mid-term coordination meeting of the AU Executive Council and the Regional Economic Communities (RECs), scheduled for 4-5 July in Niamey (Niger) on the eve of the AU Extraordinary Summit.
