Morocco's UNTM, Chinese Hunan Federation of Trade Unions Sign MoU to Promote Cooperation

Morocco’s national labor Union (UNTM) signed, on Wednesday in Rabat, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Federation of Trade Unions of Hunan Province, China, to strengthen ties and bilateral cooperation.

The two parties agreed to strengthen bilateral relations and promote the exchange of experience and expertise in the field of training, UNTM secretary general, Abdelilah Halouti, said in a statement to MAP.

He also expressed UNTM's willingness to establish close relations with various trade unions at the global level, stressing that China's choice is mainly due to its weight and influential role at the African and international levels.

He added that the UNTM intends, through the signing of this MoU, to align itself with the orientation adopted by Morocco to diversify its partners and seek new opportunities for cooperation.

The agreement, he went on, is also meant to strengthen Morocco's presence in China and inform the Chinese of the potential and opportunities offered by the Kingdom.
