North Macedonia Keen to Learn from Morocco's Experience in Gender Budgeting (Minister)
The Republic of North Macedonia wants to benefit from Morocco's experience in gender budgeting, said Macedonian minister of Labor and Social Policy, Mila Carovska, on Wednesday in Rabat during her talks with secretary of State for Transport, Najib Boulif.
"We are very pleased with this visit to Morocco, which gives us the opportunity to benefit from and exchange ideas on the Moroccan experience in institutionalizing gender equality principles at the sectoral level and particularly gender budgeting," she said in a statement to the press.
The secretary of State for Transport said in a similar statement that this meeting is meant to share Morocco's "leading experience" in gender budgeting with the national institutions of North Macedonia in order to support them in creating their first center of excellence in this field.
"This is an opportunity to present several initiatives related to budgeting in our country, as well as to highlight the internationally recognized good practices of the centre of excellence for gender budgeting in Rabat," he underlined.
