Over 200k Passengers Took Al-Buraq High-speed Train in January

Minister of Equipment, Transport, Logistics and Water, Abdelkader Amara, said, Tuesday in Rabat, that more than 200,000 passengers took the Al-Buraq high-speed train in January 2019, compared to some 168,000 passengers in December, i.e. an increase of 19 pc.

In response to an oral question on the Al-Buraq high-speed train, presented by the Constitutional, Democratic and Social group at the House of Advisors, Amara noted that this increase had an impact on the fill rate, which rose from 40pc when the service was launched to 70pc.

He added that this service will be extended, with the receipt of new wagons, stressing that Al-Buraq, which is a source of pride for Morocco, is available to all social categories.
