Rabat: Thousands March in Solidarity with Palestinian People

Thousands of demonstrators took part in a national march, on Sunday in Rabat, to reiterate their solidarity with the Palestinian people and Morocco's unflagging support for the Palestinian cause.

The participants in this demo, organized by political bodies, trade unions and organizations working in the field of human rights and attended by politicians and citizens, carried banners saying that Al Quds is the capital of Palestine and reiterating the commitment of the Moroccan people to the just cause of the Palestinian people.

On this occasion, they chanted slogans such as "Moroccans and Palestinians are one people" and "the Palestinian cause, a national cause".

Member of the secretariat of the National Action Group for Palestine Khalid Sefiani emphasized, in a statement to MAP, the continuous commitment of the Moroccan people to the fight for the liberation of Palestine and Al Quds as well as for the defense of Palestinian Holy sites, whether Arab, Islamic or Christian.

Palestinian ambassador in Rabat Jamal Choubki expressed, in a similar statement, his pride and gratitude to the Moroccan people who took to the streets today to reaffirm the inalienable rights of Palestinians to end occupation and establish a Palestinian state with Al Quds as capital.

This march gives a strong signal to the Palestinian people and mirrors the position of support for their rights, he said.
