Regional Cybersecurity Seminar Kicks Off in Rabat

The Regional Cybersecurity Seminar, initiated under the High Royal Instructions by the General Directorate of Information Systems Security (DGSSI) of the National Defense Administration, opened Monday in Rabat with the participation of senior government officials, experts, and stakeholders from Morocco, the Arab world, and Africa, representing both public and private sectors.

Held under the theme "The Future of Cybersecurity: Digital Sovereignty for Sustainable Economic Development", this edition, running from September 15 to 19, provides an opportunity to discuss the challenges of cyber-resilience in the era of emerging technologies.

The program includes a series of panels and debates on topics such as artificial intelligence, quantum technologies, digital sovereignty, sustainable development, and international cooperation.

The regional conclave aims to encourage the sharing of experiences, strengthen cooperation among Arab and regional countries in the field of cybersecurity, and identify clear mechanisms to combat cyber threats and cyberattacks.

The seminar also offers an ideal platform for senior ICT and cybersecurity officials from African and Arab countries, as well as OIC member states, to formulate strategic guidelines and plans to address emerging threats to the cybersecurity sector at both the regional and global levels.
