SG of Euro-Mediterranean-Arab Association Highlights Partnership Opportunities between Morocco & Germany

Morocco and Germany offer various opportunities for partnership in several areas, Secretary General of the Euro-Mediterranean-Arab Association (EMA), Clara Gruitrooy, said on Wednesday in Berlin.

Speaking to MAP on the sidelines of the Economic Forum on North Africa, held on Feb. 6-7 in Berlin, Gruitrooy said that the areas of partnership between the two countries include various sectors such industry, agriculture, digital technologies and textile.

The EMA has closely followed the progress made by Morocco in economy and infrastructure, she pointed out, noting that the Kingdom has managed to attract important investments at the Tanger Med industrial free zone.

She recalled in this regard the inauguration of a 13,000 square metres logistics centre at Tanger Med Port by Emirates Logistics and Adidas AG, the German sports clothing manufacturer, for a global investment of more than 100 million DH.

The Economic Forum on North Africa, held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Berlin at the initiative of EMA, brought together more than 200 economic and political actors from Germany and North Africa to discuss several issues, including agro-food and chemical sectors, the automotive industry and new technologies.
