Morocco, represented by Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, took part, on Monday in New York, in an international high-level conference on the peaceful resolution of the Palestinian issue and the implementation of the two-state solution.
Akhannouch was accompanied in this conference, held on the sidelines of the 80th UN General Assembly, by Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, and the Kingdom’s ambassador and permanent representative to the UN, Omar Hilale.
Aimed at reaffirming international commitments for the two-state solution and to mobilize the required support for its implementation, this conference was co-chaired by French President, Emmanuel Macron, and Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saoud.
This high-level meeting was attended by representatives from several UN member states, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, and General Assembly President Annalena Baerbock.
