On High Instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, Coordinator of the Offices and Services of the General Staff of the FAR, chaired on Thursday the graduation ceremony of the 26th class of the Higher Defense Course and the 60th class of the General Staff Course, at the Royal College of Higher Military Education (CREMS) in Kenitra.
Upon his arrival at the CREMS, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan was greeted by Lieutenant General, FAR Inspector General and Commander of the South Zone, as well as Major-Colonel, CREMS Director, before reviewing a Royal Air Forces detachment that performed the Honors, according to a statement by the FAR General Staff.
His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan was then greeted by the Lieutenant General, Commander of the Royal Gendarmerie; Senior Officers of the FAR General Staff; the Wali of the Rabat-Salé-Kenitra region; the Governor of the Kenitra Province; the Delegate Commanding Officer of the Kenitra Garrison, and professors from the academic staff.
After following a presentation on “The Royal Armed Forces' contribution to peace and humanitarian assistance operations at international level,” His Royal Highness awarded the higher military education certificates conferring a specialized Master’s degree in national defense, as well as General Staff diplomas to both Moroccan and foreign trainee Officers enrolled in the Higher Defense Course and the General Staff Course.
The Major-Colonel, CREMS Director presented to His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan trainees’ academic work produced during the year, including a compilation of research papers of the Higher Defense Course class.
At the close of the ceremony, HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan posed for a commemorative photo with the two graduating classes, the foreign trainees and members of the civilian academic staff.
The 26th class of the Higher Defense Course and the 60th class of the General Staff Course include a total of 304 graduates, among them 88 Officers from 32 different countries.
