HM the King Congratulates Rajoelina on his Election as President of Madagascar
HM King Mohammed VI sent a congratulatory message to Andry Nirina Rajoelina following his election as President of the Republic of Madagascar.
In this message, HM the King expresses to the new President of Madagascar his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for success in fulfilling his mission.
"I remember the visit that I made, in November 2016, to your beautiful country, where a warm welcome was extended to me," the Sovereign said in this message, adding that this visit was the opportunity to meet a "brotherly people closely linked to the history of the Royal family and the Moroccan people".
This visit has also made it possible, in a spirit of "fraternity and mutual esteem, to lay the foundation for closer cooperation" which resolutely focuses on supporting Madagascar's efforts in sustainable development.
The Sovereign underlined his strong determination to work along with President Rajoelina to develop the bilateral partnership between the two countries in order to serve the interests of the two brotherly peoples and promote peace, stability and development in the African continent.
