Bouaida Reiterates Morocco's Readiness To Support Efforts For Libya's Political Transition

Minister delegate for foreign affairs Mbarka Bouaida reiterated, on Thursday in Rome, Morocco's readiness to support regional and international efforts for Libya's political transition.

In a speech at the 2nd international conference on Libya, Bouaida said that, given the long-standing and historical ties between the two countries, Morocco is firmly committed to helping the Libyan people achieve their legitimate aspirations for democracy and freedom, hoping that Libya would overcome its obstacles to build a Maghreb of prosperity and solidarity.

Highlighted the various cooperation projects implemented by Morocco and Libya, particularly in executives' training, social policies, strengthening security capacities, institution-building, transitional justice and national reconciliation, Bouaida reiterated the keenness of the Kingdom to continue its support for Libya by establishing innovative partnerships, particularly in sectors where Morocco has accumulated successful experiences, including infrastructure, transitional justice, and women's empowerment.
