Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Hasnaa chaired, on Sunday in Rabat, the annual diplomatic charity Gala dinner, organized by the Diplomatic Foundation in partnership with the embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Held under the High patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, this diplomatic Gala dinner, which brings together generous patrons of the foreign diplomatic corps accredited to Morocco, has become an annual event organized on the initiative of the Diplomatic Foundation and foreign embassies in Rabat, in favor of disadvantaged populations.
This initiative, attended by diplomats, businessmen and artists aims to raise funds to contribute to social action in Morocco, through the financing of several associative projects, notably in the fields of child protection, promoting the conditions of rural women, capacity-building for young girls, and support for the youth.
The Gala dinner featured a retrospective video highlighting the ten years of HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa's effective presidency of this event and showcasing the diplomatic corps' commitment to this noble cause.
Speaking on this occasion, the ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia accredited in Rabat, Sami Bin Abdullah Bin Othman Al-Saleh, praised the continued commitment of HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa, her exemplary devotion and her unwavering support for noble charity initiatives and humanitarian action of general interest.
On this occasion, Sami Bin Abdullah Bin Othman Al-Saleh expressed “on behalf of all of us, our deep gratitude and sincere appreciation for the many forms of solidarity, kindness, and support” that Her Royal Highness continues to provide, as well as for her remarkable efforts in support of volunteerism and humanitarian action.
The Saudi diplomat also emphasized that this charity event, organized this year in partnership between the embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Diplomatic Foundation, reflects the strength of bilateral relations and the depth of the fraternal ties that unite the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the brotherly Kingdom of Morocco.
This event also illustrates the close cooperation between the two countries in various fields, in accordance with the High Guidelines of the wise leaders of the two brotherly countries, he said.
He added that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, HM King Salmane Bin Abdulaziz, and HRH Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, Crown Prince and Chairman of the Council of Ministers, may God protect them, hold deep and sincere brotherly ties with their brother, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him.
The special relationship between the two brotherly countries is based on a long and deeply rooted history, Sami Bin Abdullah Bin Othman Al-Saleh added, noting that they reflect the constant efforts made by the two Leaderships to raise them to ever higher levels of strategic cooperation, with a view to establishing an advanced and lasting partnership that meets the legitimate aspirations of the two brotherly peoples.
For his part, President of the Diplomatic Foundation, Abdelati Habek, expressed his sincere thanks to Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Hasnaa for her continued support and the exceptional solicitude that she grants to this annual event.
“Your presence among us, Royal Highness, is a source of pride and honor for all of us. It promotes humanitarian action and forms perfect harmony with the grandiose march of humanitarian action led by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, as well as the laudable and serious efforts that Your Highness is deploying in this field,” he said.
Habek also stated that “this initiative and annual charitable tradition are an opportunity for us to express our thanks and gratitude to His Majesty the King, may God glorify Him, for His encouragement of such solidarity and humanitarian initiatives, and for His constant willingness to support the poor and needy.”
The 2026 Diplomatic Gala Shield was then presented to HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa, who posed for a souvenir photo with members of the Diplomatic Foundation committee.
Upon her arrival, HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa reviewed a section of the Auxiliary Forces that paid the honors, before being greeted by the minister of Solidarity, Social Inclusion and Family, Naima Ben Yahya, the ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Rabat, Sami Bin Abdullah Bin Othman Al-Saleh, the wali of the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region, governor of the prefecture of Rabat, Mohamed Yacoubi, the president of the Regional Council, Rachid El Abdi, the president of the Municipal Council of Rabat, Fatiha El Moudni, the president of the Rabat Prefectural Council, Abdelaziz Drouich, the President of the Diplomatic Foundation, Abdelati Habek, and the members of the Diplomatic Foundation committee.
