Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Hasnaa, at the invitation of Melania Trump, First Lady of the United States of America, represented the Kingdom of Morocco on Wednesday at the White House in Washington, at the "Fostering the Future Together" Global Coalition Summit for children.
The "Fostering the Future Together" initiative’s mission is to help children thrive and to promote their empowerment in the digital era through education, innovation and technology.
At the onset of the summit, which featured a welcome speech by a humanoid, Melania Trump gave an address emphasizing that, in a world that is transforming through the use of AI, the mission of the new Coalition will be to empower children through technology and education, calling upon all partner countries and institutions to support concrete initiatives following this inaugural summit.
In this regard, she advocated hosting a regional meeting, collaborating with the private sector, unlocking access to technology for those who require assistance, drafting groundbreaking legislation to protect children, and collaborating with other member nations.
In her address at the meeting, Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Hasnaa affirmed that the Kingdom of Morocco commends the visionary leadership of the First Lady of the United States of America for launching this critical coalition, emphasizing that Morocco is honored to participate in this coalition, which reflects a shared understanding.
"Preparing our children for the digital age is not only a national duty, it is a shared global responsibility," Her Royal Highness stated, adding that "We need to act together now or the gap between those who benefit from technology and those who are left behind will grow wider."
In this regard, HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa noted that technology must promote the empowerment of people and reduce inequality, rather than increasing it.
Her Royal Highness further emphasized that the Kingdom of Morocco pledges, within the framework of the "Fostering the Future Together" coalition, to expand and reinforce existing national digital protection platforms, as well as to broaden national digital literacy and inclusion programs.
Furthermore, HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa said that the Kingdom of Morocco is very willing to share its best practices and experience on child digital protection with partners in the African continent, in order to support collective learning and foster international cooperation.
The meeting also featured addresses namely by Brigitte Macron (France), Her Highness Sheikha Alyazia bint Saif Al Nahyan (United Arab Emirates), Marta Nawrocka (Poland), Maricel Cohen de Mulino (Panama), Dr. Fatima Maada (Sierra Leone) and H.E. Gertrude Mutharika (Malawi).
At the close of this high-level meeting, HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa posed for a commemorative photo with the First Lady of the United States of America, before posing for a group photo with the Heads of the participating delegations.

The "Fostering the Future Together" Global Coalition Summit for children, attended by representatives from some 40 countries and several leading U.S. technology companies, provided an opportunity to present national commitments in this area and to launch formal cooperation within the framework of this Coalition.
