Morocco’s government is following the latest updates regarding floods in several regions in the Kingdom, said, on Thursday in Rabat, the Minister Delegate in charge of Relations with Parliament and government Spokesman, Mustapha Baitas, assuring that the government is following the situation from up close in order to take all necessary measures to keep up with this issue in all aspects.
Speaking during a press briefing held following the weekly government council meeting, Baitas noted that the Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, expressed his thanks to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, for the High Solicitude that the Sovereign grants this issue through His High Instructions given to the Royal Armed Forces (FAR) to immediately intervene, in coordination with the different actors, in order to oversee the evacuation operations and citizens’ transportation.
The government also hails the interventions led by the FAR, the Royal Gendarmerie, the National Security, the Auxiliary Forces, the Civil Protection as well as public authorities, in order to protect citizens and guarantee their security against the repercussions of the exceptional climate conditions, he added.
