El pueblo marroquí celebra el sábado el 56º cumpleaños de SAR el Príncipe Moulay Rachid

The Moroccan people join the Royal Family in celebrating, with joy and communion, the 56th birthday of His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid on Saturday.

This happy event provides an opportunity for all Moroccans to express their warmest congratulations and sincere wishes of happiness and long life to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, HRH Prince Moulay Rachid and the entire August Royal Family.

Born in Rabat on June 20, 1970, HRH Prince Moulay Rachid graduated with honors in May 1993 with a bachelor's degree in Public Law (Internal Administration) and a diploma in Comparative Law, from the Faculty of Legal, Economic and Social Sciences in Rabat.

Three years later, His Royal Highness obtained his second Certificate of Advanced Studies (International Relations option) with honors.

His Royal Highness publicly defended, on May 18, 2001 at the Université Montesquieu-Bordeaux IV, a doctoral thesis in Law on "The Organization of the Islamic Conference: Study of a specific international organization", obtained with the distinction "Very Honorable with the congratulations of the jury and special mention for its publication", in view of the interest of the subject and the quality of the work.

From an early age, HRH Prince Moulay Rachid has been involved in cultural, social and sporting activities. In this regard, His Royal Highness has chaired the National Federation of Moroccan Scouting since 1997, breathing new life into the organization.

In the same spirit and with the same commitment, HRH Prince Moulay Rachid presides over the Royal Moroccan Hunting Arms Shooting Federation, the Marrakech International Film Festival Foundation and the Hassan II Golf Trophy Association.

Since January 2018, His Royal Highness has also been president of the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation.

His Royal Highness chairs major events in various fields, as well as official ceremonies, and represents His Majesty the King at major national and international events, to promote Morocco's international and regional influence.

Accordingly, Their Royal Highnesses Prince Moulay Rachid and Princess Lalla Meryem presided, on May 23, at the Royal Golf Dar Es-Salam in Rabat, over the prize-giving ceremony for the winners of the 50th Hassan II Golf Trophy and the 29th Lalla Meryem Cup, organized under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him.

The previous day, His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid presided, at Royal Golf Dar Es-Salam, over the gala dinner offered by His Majesty the King on the occasion of the 50th Hassan II Golf Trophy and the 29th Lalla Meryem Cup.

On April 20, His Royal Highness presided, at Mechouar Stinia-Sahrij Souani in Meknes, over the opening ceremony of the 18th edition of the International Agricultural Show in Morocco (SIAM), organized under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI under the theme: “Sustainability of Animal Production and Food Sovereignty.”

On January 18, His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid presided, at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, over the final of the 35th Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON Morocco 2025). The following day, upon the High Instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, His Royal Highness received, at the Royal Guests Palace in Rabat, the members of the national football team.

On November 29, 2025, HRH Prince Moulay Rachid, President of the Marrakech International Film Festival Foundation, accompanied by HRH Princess Lalla Oumkeltoum, presided, at Bab Ighli in Marrakech, over a dinner hosted by His Majesty King Mohammed VI on the occasion of the official opening of the 22nd edition of the Marrakech International Film Festival.

On September 15 of the same year, His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid represented His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, at the the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit held in Doha, Qatar.

On July 30, 2025, His Royal Highness presided, in Tetouan, over a luncheon hosted by the Head of Government on the occasion of the 26th anniversary of the accession of His Majesty King Mohammed VI to the Throne of His Glorious Ancestors.

On June 29, HRH Prince Moulay Rachid presided, at the sports complex in Fez, over the final of the Throne Cup football competition for the 2023–2024 season, contested between Olympic Safi and Renaissance Sportive de Berkane.

The celebration of the birthday of His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid thus constitutes an opportunity for the entire Moroccan people to reaffirm their unwavering attachment to the Glorious Alaouite Throne and their constant mobilization behind His Majesty King Mohammed VI to ensure the success of the major development projects launched by the Sovereign for the progress and prosperity of His faithful people.
