Covid-19: Students Aged 12 to 17 Can Be Vaccinated Regardless of Where They Live (Ministry)

Parents and guardians of students aged 12 to 17 and enrolled in public and private educational institutions, as well as original educational schools, foreign missions and vocational training institutes, can have their children vaccinated against Covid-19 in the vaccination center and with the vaccine of their choice (Pfizer or Sinopharm), without having to meet the condition of place of residence.

In a statement, the Ministry of National Education, Vocational Training, Higher Education and Scientific Research stresses that access to vaccination for students in this age group, launched last August 31, remains free, voluntary and subject to parental consent.

It urges parents and guardians of students to consult the list of vaccination centers in order to choose the one where they wish to have their child vaccinated, while calling on them to massively adhere to this important operation intended to protect learners in order to progress on the road to collective immunity.

The operation of vaccination of the age group of 12-17 years, launched August 31 in all vaccination centers located in 419 schools, is experiencing a great influx of students and families in general, adds the statement.

The complete list of vaccination centers has been posted on the websites, official pages and social networks of the Ministry, regional academies of education and training and provincial directorates of education.
