Head Of Government Meets With Jordanian Counterpart

  Head of government, Abdelilah Benkirane, who is on a working visit to Jordan, met Saturday in Amman with his Jordanian counterpart Abdullah El- Nsour, Prime Minister and Minister of Defense.

 

   A statement of the Department of the Head of Government said that during this meeting, Benkirane and El- Nsour reaffirmed the strong relations uniting the Kingdom of Morocco and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and which continue to grow thanks to the efforts of HM King Mohammed VI and his brother His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan.

   The two officials welcomed the wisdom and insight of the heads of State of both countries in facing the latest challenges in the region, the statement said, adding that the two Prime Ministers discussed the process of institutional, economic and social reforms that the two governments are carrying out. Benkirane and El- Nsour also discussed many regional and international issues of common interest.

 

   The talks were followed by a broader meeting marked by the presence, on the Jordanian side of  the Speakers of the Council of the Senate and the  House of Representatives, the Principal Private Secretary of the Jordanian King's office, the President of the Constitutional Court, the President of the Council of the judiciary as well as several members of the government. On the Moroccan side, the meeting was attended by Morocco's ambassador to Jordan and members of the delegation accompanying the Head of Government, the statement said.

Head Of Government Starts Visit To Jordan

Head of the government, Abdelilah Benkirane, will start this Friday a three-day work visit to Jordan at the invitation of head of government and defense minister Abdullah Annoussour.

A release of the head of government's office says Benkirane will hold holds with Jordan peer and a number of top officials, including speakers of the two parliamentary chambers.
