Morocco Counts over 10 Million Internet Subscribers in 2015 Q1
The number of internet subscribers in Morocco exceeded 10.32 million in the first quarter of 2015, up 61.4 pc compared to the same period in 2014, according to the National Telecommunications Regulatory Agency (French acronym-ANRT).
ANRT, which published the figures of telecommunication market in the first quarter of 2015, said the 3G service, which counts 9.29 million subscribers, achieved an annual increase of 68.8 pc, while the ADSL service registered an annual increase of 16 pc.
Fixed-line service subscribers amounted to 3.39 million by the end of March, ARNT added in a press release.
As for the average revenue per minute, the mobile average revenue per minute (ARPM) recorded an annual decrease of 9 pc by the end of March 2015, ANRT said, adding that mobile ARMP reached 0.31 MAD/min compared to 0.34 MAD/min by the end of March 2014.
