The Royal Family and the Moroccan people are celebrating on Friday, with joy and jubilation, the 23rd birthday of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, a happy occasion reflecting the real depth of the Moroccan people’s unwavering devotion to the Glorious Alaouite Throne, guarantor of the Kingdom’s unity and stability.
This birthday recalls the blissful moments of Thursday, May 8, 2003, when the Ministry of the Royal Household, Protocol, and Chancellery announced the blessed birth, at the Royal Palace in Rabat, of a son whom His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, has named Moulay El Hassan, in tribute to the memory of his August Grandfather, the late HM King Hassan II, may God have his soul in His holy mercy.
The celebration HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan's 23rd birthday thus renews the immutable attachment of Moroccans to the Glorious Alaouite Throne, through the oath of allegiance uniting them to HM the King, Commander of the Faithful, defender of the faith and guarantor of the supreme interests of the Nation and its citizens.
This joyous event is also an opportunity to look back on the main activities of HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan that marked the past year, notably the appointment, last Saturday, by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan as Coordinator of the Offices and Services of the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces.
On April 30, His Royal Highness chaired the opening ceremony in Rabat of the 31st edition of the International Book Fair (SIEL), organized under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him.
On April 13, by Order of His Majesty the King, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince inaugurated the Mohammed VI Tower, a new architectural icon and emblem of modernity that symbolizes the advent and influence of twin cities Rabat and Salé, under the Sovereign’s impetus.
On December 21, 2025, HRH the Crown Prince chaired the opening ceremony of the 35th Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON-Morocco 2025) at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.
On October 22 of the same year, acting on the High Instructions of His Majesty the King, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan presided over a ceremony hosted by the Sovereign at the Royal Palace in Rabat in honor of the members of the U20 National Football Team, following their victory at the 2025 World Cup held in Chile.
Four days earlier, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince chaired the 2025 Rabat Grand Prix of the Longines Global Champions Tour, a prestigious competition that bolsters Morocco’s standing as a key player on the international equestrian calendar.
On September 29, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan chaired the opening ceremony of the 16th El Jadida Horse Show at the Mohammed VI Exhibition Center, which ran until October 5, the day on which HRH the Crown Prince presided, at the same exhibition center, the award ceremony for His Majesty King Mohammed VI Grand Prix in show jumping, organized as part of the final of the 14th Morocco Royal Tour CSI 4*W.
On September 4, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, by Order of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, inaugurated the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, following reconstruction work that brought this prestigious sports facility in line with FIFA 2030 standards.
In addition, and by Order of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince received, on August 25 at the Royal Palace in Tetouan, children from Al-Quds who participated in the 16th edition of summer camps organized by Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency.
On July 31, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, by Order of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the FAR, received at the Royal Guard Officers’ Club in Tetouan a message of good wishes, fidelity, and loyalty addressed to the Sovereign by the FAR family on the occasion of the 26th anniversary of His Majesty the King’s accession to the Throne of His Glorious Ancestors.
HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan had, on this occasion, received valedictorians of top military and paramilitary academies and institutes, before chairing a luncheon hosted by His Majesty the King, Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the FAR, in honor of the dignitaries invited to the oath-taking ceremony of the "Sultan Ahmed Al-Mansour Al-Dahbi" class.
On June 4, HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan chaired, on High Instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, at the Royal College of Higher Military Education (CREMS) in Kenitra, the graduation ceremony for the Higher Defense Course and the General Staff Course.
On May 14, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, by Order of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the FAR, presided over a luncheon hosted by His Majesty the King at the Officers’ Mess Circle in Rabat, on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of the creation of the FAR.
His Royal Highness was also present alongside His Majesty the King, Commander of the Faithful, on the occasion of the religious vigil commemorating the blessed Laylat Al-Qadr and the Eid Al-Fitr prayer.
Each of HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan's public appearances thus perpetuates a long tradition designed to prepare the Crown Prince for the responsibilities he will be called upon to assume within a society that remains faithful to its lofty, authentic values and its multifaceted identity, as well as to the Glorious Alaouite Throne.
