Car Industry: Health Security Measures Reinforced In Order To Gradually Resume Activity - Ministry
Health security measures have been reinforced at all car manufacturers' plants in order to safeguard the health of employees and resume gradually industrial activity, said on Saturday the ministry of Health.
"Since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, the ministry of Health and car manufacturers have closely worked together to safeguard the health of employees and ensure the sustainability of their businesses," said the department in a release.
While production was halted, a set of health measures and protocols were deployed and reinforced at all the production sites in Morocco (Renault Tangier, Somaca Casablanca and PSA Kenitra sites).
"These protocols make it possible to resume gradually and in a secure way activity in full compliance with health security measures", the source pointed out, noting that audit and control missions of the recommended health security measures are carried out regularly by the regional health commissions.
Aware of the major role played by the car industry at the national level, the ministry of Health and the manufacturers "work together daily to ensure both health security and continue activity in order to stimulate the Moroccan automotive ecosystem to return to its previous level before the pandemic and contribute to the country's economic recovery".
